The Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346 has been serving the needs of veterans in Farmington, Farmington Hills and surrounding Michigan communities since 1922. We offer a warm, family friendly atmosphere, numerous get togethers providing fun and camaraderie, and opportunities to step up and help your fellow veterans and the community. Veterans helping veterans, their families and the community.
We have Friday night BINGO, Monday Coney Nights, and there's always something going on in our Club Room. On the first Thursday of each month we have our membership meetings, and the Legion, Ladies Auxiliary or SAL (Sons of the American Legion) are always putting on delicious dinners such as Steak and all you can eat Spaghetti, which are open to the public.
Each year our Post hosts events such as the Farmington Memorial Day Parade, the 9/11 Patriots Day Ceremony, our Holiday Wreath Laying Ceremony at War Memorial Monument, and American Legion Poppy Days each May. Our Post also supports many American Legion programs such as Boy's and Girl's State, Tabs for Tots, Sons of the American Legion, Legion Baseball, golf, bowling, and sponsoring local Scout Troops.
The American Legion is the nation’s most influential, effective and dependable advocate of veteran affairs fighting for better active-duty pay, improved housing for active-duty families and helping to ensure that the Veterans Administration medical system can properly care for our veterans. Membership helps support Department Service Officers nationwide who assist veterans in preparing claims and obtaining their full military healthcare benefits through the VA. We also help families with veteran death benefits. If you are currently on active duty, serving the United States honorably, anywhere in the world, or have served honorably during any of the following eligible war eras, we invite you to become a member of The American Legion.
